Trong suốt thời gian tham gia học tập chương trình hệ ngôn ngữ tại Trung tâm Hoa Ngữ trường Đại Học Quốc Lập Liên Hợp. Thông qua trải nghiệm cá nhân, tôi nhận thấy chương trình học bám sát thực tiễn, nhiều từ vựng thông dụng, chủ đề học đa đạng, thực tế. Đội ngũ giáo viên nhiệt tình giảng dạy, sẵn sàng giải đáp những thắc mắc của học sinh, đồng thời luôn tạo bầu không khí lớp học thoải mái, lành mạnh, không gây áp lực học tập, giáo viên cùng học sinh có thể thoải mái chia sẻ quan điểm, chuyện trò. Bên cạnh việc học ngôn ngữ, còn có những buổi học văn hoá, cùng giáo viên, bạn bè quốc tế hưởng thức ẩm thực, làm đồ thủ công, giao lưu văn hoá. Qua đó, tôi cảm thấy đây là một khoá học rất đáng tham gia, trải nghiệm.

I am an English educated retiree from Malaysia and it has been my fervent wish to learn the Chinese Language after my retirement.  “活到老，学到老” certainly hold true for me. When the opportunity to study in Taiwan arose, I had already in mind where I wanted to study.  For me, a not too cosmopolitan city steeped in local culture, a place with mountain and sea and a little sheltered from the vagaries of mother nature and here I am, studying at the Chinese Language Centre, National United University in Miaoli County.

My time studying with NUU in Miaoli was a really wonderful experience. Every teacher that I had during my time there had a unique approach to teaching Chinese, and yet what they all shared enthusiasm and great encouragement. I tried a few classes and universities around Taiwan before I found NUU. What made me so happy with NUU was the friendly environment and that it was so accommodating to different learning styles. The lessons felt tailored to the students. For me, it broke away from a wrote-learning style of teaching and focused more on conversation. I learnt so much, and at a faster pace without feeling stressed. I really recommend NUU to anyone interested in learning Chinese in Taiwan. I finished all six textbooks, passed my TOCFL exam, and made a lot of great friends along the way! Thank you so much to all of my teachers, and especially to Ann at the office, who was very supportive, friendly, and planned many fun days out for us each semester! I will always look back so happily on my time there :)

Kalimat pertama yang terlintas dipikiran saya adalah kehidupan di Taiwan sangat menyenangkan. Begitu banyak kemudahan dalam menjalani keseharian disini, salah satunya kendaraan umum, sangat mudah.
Banyak hal yang saya pelajari selama di Taiwan, terlebih lagi adalah kemampuan berbahasa Mandarin saya. Selama saya belajar di Pusat Bahasa Mandarin, mulai dari bertemu dengan guru yang sangat aktif, saya juga bertemu dengan teman baru, yang bisa saja jadikan teman baik untuk saling berbagi kisah, dan paling penting adalah teman untuk mengasah kemampuan berbicara Bahasa Mandarin dan saya terbiasa disini karena terasa seperti di rumah.<
